100 years of female power

Today ⪡8.3.10⪢ we celebrate the day of women struggling for female rights. That is a reason for presenting a (very!) small collection of women worth honoring (please note the fact that the list of great women is endless)

Clara Zetkin – the reason for this day.

Jackie O. – an icon

Thit Jensen – truly one of the ‘female rights fighter’

Coco Chanel – in many ways a legend.

Frida Kahlo – Female artist and announced feminist

Karen Blixen – writer and characteristic woman (personal favorit)

Sofia Coppola – simply a talent

Diane Keaton – Idol

Kathryn Bigelow – just won an Oscar for best director, being the first woman to win in this category (“The Hurt Locker”)  and by that – kicking her ex-husband in the nuts (James Cameron “Avatar”)
